Damage - wait and see...

Wife just called, said she got rear-ended sitting at a red light.40 minutes passed and no cop showed up. She says she's okay... but I'm worried - sitting at work for another 15 minutes + 1 hour drive. The lady that hit her was all p***ed off because my wife wanted a cop to make up an accident report. After 40 minutes of waiting my wife finally agreed to gather info and let her go.Idiot drivers - slow the **** down when it's snowing/freezing rain. This lady better have insurance - or I'm going hunting with my sledge.

I'd never let someone go either if they hit my car until the cops showed up. Of course since she hit your wife from behind, she can't claim hit and run lol. Friend of mine was in a minor fender bender headed to a meet. we all stopped as did the car that hit him. they exchanged info and we headed off. Later found out she tried to claim hit and run... which failed because well.. can't hit and run and get her insurance info... and there was 9 of us witnesses lol.Yeah... snow... rain... ice... um its winter... SLOW DOWN!Even the wife scares me with her winter driving...

The wife is okay, a little sore neck...No visable damage to the car. Which is good - because she never got the license plate number. She was pretty shook up... but there are things you just do.She got her name, address, and phone number though. She's from out of state and speaks little english. I just hope this doesn't lead to medical stuff, it's going to be messy trying to prove anything with no police report. My way home I got the chance to see people zoom by me and then try to change lanes - only to lose control... and then slow down. Assclowns.

Good to hear wife is OK. I would call the police station to report the crash. Tell them where, when, and who hit your wife. that should help the claim process. I would not wait too long to get it checked by a dealer also.

was reading on another forum... the guy heard his car alarm going off and went outside to see a lady in a (go figure) SUV driving off having backed into his car. Well she didn't drive off fast enough as he caught up with her on foot, opened her door and like Terminator 2 "GET OUT!" lol.she had to stick around while he called the cops and filed a hit and run.
