Taking logos off of bug shields and window guards

Post by rjburney »

Just put on a Perfect Fit bug shield and some Weathertech window guards, and was wondering if there was an easy way to remove the logos both companies put on the plastic. Suppose I could scrap it off, but was afraid of scratching the plastic up and wanted to know if someone had a better solution.

Heat up the sticker or scrape it off with a plastic scraper if you have one. Or pour some hot water on it to get the glue free.

Only problem is though, and I know this is the case with my Weathertech bug deflector - that ain't no sticker! The logo is somehow "painted" on there.Last summer I was spraying my front end down with bug & tar remover and I accidentally sprayed the deflector and didn't notice to wipe any of that stuff off, so it left quite a few marks. I found that taking some of the Blue Magic plastic scratch remover/polish stuff (found it at the Zone) I could clean off the damage that was done. A positive effect of this was also the logo faded out but not completely. On the downside, the deflector now has swirl marks all to heck. Something abrasive like that is about the only way I know to take that stuff off.
