Is the air filter on the COSMOracing CAI pretty good?Should I replace it with a K&N filter once I get it? Opinions...Also if I get a CAI over a short ram I know it will be a lot harder to clean the air filter (is it a matter of having to take the whole CAI out every time or will I just have to stretch my hands under the car to get to it, ie how much harder)

The Cosmo filters are not pre-oiled. So, you can either get a K&N filter cleaning & oiling kit ($15)or get a K&N Filter($65)

I used the Cosmo filter for 2 years and it seemed to be excellent. You only need to clean it about once a year. I cut a short piece off the filter end of the pipe which made removing the filter a simple task.

I don't know about the quality of the Cosmo filter, but I have the Injen CAI and cleaned it after 2 years. A tip that I highly recommend: Put a little bit of soapy water on the inside rubber lip of the filter. It will slip right on so much easier! I sure wish I thought of that when I first installed the intake because I had such a hard time getting it to slide on.
