Audio recording of VIBE/MATRIX/COROLLA engine during cold idle hunting.

For all members in this and other forums who need to hear the sound made by the MATRIX/COROLLA/VIBE engine while idle hunting during the second minute following a cold start after the car has stood outside in freezing temperatures for at least 6 hours, just click on the attached file at the bottom of this post.Please post any comments in the forum thread that brought you here. Oh my! I hate the way these engines twitch and shake like a crackhead at idle, far from a smooth, steady idle... Mine never idles consistently, never has, never will - but it doesn't do that... If it did, the piece of junk would end up throwing a rod. Not normal. Keep up the good fight against the powers that be.

and its not throwing a code? wow I'd drop that off at the dealer and have them start it in the A.M. that isn't right.

And that I fear will take many years, if ever.

Not to side rack the forum but Colonel Panic is that 67000 miles on your car in 3 years???

My car does not and has not ever done this. If so I would have put a bullet in it! Man, how annoying! I would have to suspect the IAC or injectors...
