Today is the anniversary to John Lennon's death. Late evening, December 8th, 1980 a great and talented artist's flame was extinguished.I see Joatmon has a great avatar and signature for the occasion.

He was a good man... I was only approaching 3 on this day 25 years ago so needless to say I don't remember anything about it. But I truly do miss the guy.

Quote, originally posted by Baltovibe »I wonder if Lennon still believes what he wrote in some of his songs? well, to get all metaphysical about it, if John Lennon still exists as a distinct consciousness, he knows the truth about such things better than any of us who are still in this existence could ever even guess about. Since he hasn't bothered to give us an update, I'll take it he's doing fine.edit 12/9 reverting to default avatar/sig

That sure put a damper on my birthday--now everyone associates 12/8 with John Lennon's death. He was a great man and his presence is missed in the musical world.

I don't see what the big deal is, so what he died 25 years ago, GET OVER IT and move on. I have never understood why people boo hoo over some celeb's death anniversary it isn't as if the celeb were family.
