Vibe, Matrix, Celica all the same ?

Im new to this forum and also to mod'ing on my vibe but since the 03 base vibe and matrix and the celica all use the 1.8 vvt-i motor are the bolt on parts like intakes work the same cause i can get a intake for a celica cheaper than for a vibe and the motors should be the same

Vibe and Matrix are the same. the Celica's engine bay is laid out differently. Corolla's engine bay is similar to ours as well.

so in truth i can use Vibe, Corolla, or Matrix upgrades like intakes and such

vibe and matrix yes. Corolla might be a tad dif.

well the only intakes i can find for vibe and matrix are like 75 to 150 and up and corolla i can get for like 25 just wondering i was gonna use a ram air intake

There are cheap intakes on eBay for both the Vibe and Matrix.I have a CAI from eBay that was $55 shipped.

cool thanks i found a couple but i also found a K&N intake setup for about 45 for the MR2 VVT-i

I have a 04 Matrix XRS and 06 Corolla XRS. The engine and bay is exactly the same between the two. The suspension is the same size too so springs and sways are interchangeable.

Mase thanks for the heads up i have a 03 base and i found a intake for a M2 from the pics ive found looks exactly the same im gonna try an intake for it
