How you all feel about this? When I bought my Vibe, I asked what it was and the salesman told me that without the little extra key, the car would not start. So I said cool, put this down in the little slot first and then take the key and start the car? He said yeah...but how good is this? What do you think peeps....safe or not, good or bad. Talk to me....

yeah, it was on the car when I bought it. I think it is nice. You don't have it? Even though have the keyless entry alarm on mine from the dealer, this had to red lights one under the steering wheel, and the on the radio. Have you seen it before?

quote:but don't you think it should be?Why not? It seems decent.quote:the link says it is a new tech, why wouldn't it be standard?Just because it is new, doesn't mean it should be in every vehicle made. This appears to be an aftermarket product, and they can't include every latest aftermarket product in new vehicles. It's all about giving consumers viable options and keeping the cost down. Adding more devices to the vehicle only makes the cost rise significantly.

For me, the LockTronic System is not very usefull. This is from the web site: "The reverse gear is blocked automatically when turning off the engine (placing the gearshift in reverse). "How can I use my remote engine car starter now? I have to put my trans. on neutral to make it worked.

My Dealer only tried to sell extended warranty and rust proofing. They did stick little tags on all the body panels, it is a freebie service that is supposed to deter theft by identify the bits found in the chop shop!quote:yeah, it was on the car when I bought it.
