Ok, time to get snows for the G6. I can't get green diamonds, unfortunately, they are long out of stock, so I'm going for more "traditional" tires. The following models are available in 215/60R16, the size I need to use on my G6 GT. Has anyone had experience with any of these tires? What do you recommend? Thanks Brian, that helps a lot!I see the Michelin's are not going to work as well for me as I initially thought...the dry road and water handling seems questionable.From the look of it, the Bridgestone Blizzak WS-50 might be the best all-around winter tire I can get.Anyone here have experience with the WS-50's?

I know James has Blizzaks on his Vibe and he really likes them but I'm not sure what specific type they are. He'll have to jump in later with that one.

No problem! It was posted on MO last month.I have had the Blizzak WS-15 on My '93 Saturn for 4 winters nowand they are awesome in the snow and ice. A little soft for cornering, a bit noisy but great winter tire.

I can only assume that they are similar with the ws-50 being a newer model and maybe better designed.

That recall was in 1978 and that article was published August 30, 2000. That would be like saying the 1967 GTO had a recall so don't buy the new GTO's. Not applicable in this case.

I am on my third winter with Dunlop Graspic and they work great in snow and ice and obviously wear well, I do a lot of driving (35,000 miles/year). They handle a little soft on dry roads though. It's too bad they don't make the Dunlop Wintersport M3 in your size, they rated #1 at Tirerack.com.

That is true but most shredded tires on the roads are from semi's retreads.

I've hear/read lots of good things about Blizzaks - although I can't vote because I've never owned a set.

Lovin' my WS-50's. I have nothing to compare them to, they are the first snow tire I've ever bought... And I don't know how they will work up your way, but they're perfect around here. Although I've only had a few opportunities to test them out. All I can say is they've allowed me to go places that my "all-seasons" I have mounted on the stock wheels wouldn't. So much more confidence with these. Plus, when the snow is gone they're nice to live with and excellent in the rain.I like they way they ride better than my all seasons. Makes it a bit softer, I think, although they do bring an increase in road noise. The handling becomes slighly mushy but very easy to live with. I went with 15's, can't remember what size though.I like 'em... Pretty nice tire for the money.
