Subwoofer questions

I'm sort of starting a project with my vibe. My goal is to somehow get a subwoofer under the front passenger seat. I have a base '05 with the standard radio. I haven't figured out where I wanna put the amp yet, as I've just now seriously started thinking about the project. My question is, can anyone here recommend a good sounding 8"ish size sub that would require the smallest of enclosures? I don't want to go the route of using up my hatch space and I have 2 kids so the back seat is out as well. I noticed that there is a fair amount of space under that 1 seat which is essentially some unutillized space in a cargo infested vibe Any idea/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks guys.[Edit] Preliminary rough measurements get me roughly 12"X14"X6.5-7" of useable space.

http://www.earthquakesound.com/SWS04.htmI think these may suit my purpose quite well. Has anyone got any experience with these? Also, would it be possible to build a box that would allow me to direct the sound out the back of the seat?

Those are great Pioneer makes some too. your best bet is a small box, go with one sub that you can put lots of power to. As for if these new flat subs are any good look at the frequency responce (how low can it go) and base it from there. Just my two cents.

Resonant Engineering. I believe it's reaudio.com but don't quote me on it. On s10forum.com a lot of guys mount them in their single cabs, and there is nothing but good feedback on them. Plus they only cost 75 shipped and they require about .27 sealed enclosure, can't get much smaller than that.
