finding wires to install remote start

I just bought a 2003 vibe and I want to install a remote start system. I have a prestige 996. I install over 5 remote start unit in the past but my installation book manual just goes to 1999 vehicle and my vibe is 2003. I notice when I remove the cover at the bottom of the steering wheel the ignition wires 14,16 ga, usually ignition wire is much more heavier than that, by the way where is the fuse box? thanks for the help inadvance

The fuse box is under the dash on the drivers side. If you lie on your back on the drivers floor mat and look straight up under the dash you will be looking at it.
