What kind of mileage do you actually get? I am looking at the AWD model?

Just want to see how peoples mileage will vary as most of my miles are in town, not highway, and i seem to buy the cars that never come close to what they are rated at.. thanks all..

i have an FWD 5 speed. i average 32 mpg. that's including the horrible NY city driving. some hwy, but not enough.

I get about 26MPG mostly city and 2 lane state Rt. Highway.

low 20's around town, my wife (has has a much lighter foot) has gotten 32 on the highway on a trip last spring.

So it seems the AWD affects the gas mileage? I didnt know.

I get 26 mpg in town and 29 on the highway. Not too bad for an AWD car. The AWD definitely has lower gas mileage than the FWD.

I'm getting 27 mpg doing mostly city driving, but I have FWD.

the Vibe AWD has the best mileage of ANY AWD vehicle!I am getting around 26-27 in town and have gotten better than 33 and a couple times hit 35 on the hwy with my AWD Vibe.

We get a very consistent 26 mpg, whether city or highway. We would probably get better highway mileage, except our road trips are usually at 75-80 mph with 3 people in the car. Only one time did we get 31 mpg... that was with 2 people and not ever exceeding 70 mph. Anything that causes the RPMs to go over 3000 just kills fuel economy. We have a FWD automatic.(Interesting to note that my 2000 Grand Prix gets 25 mpg at 80 mph, and it has a 3.8 liter V6 and weighs 800 lbs more than the Vibe.)

I drive about 1000 a week in my 2005 AWD. So far (I've had the Vibe since theend of September) I'm averaging about 33 mpg.
