I have been expecting a cat. converter for my 05 5 speed for over 3 weeks. At what point if any, should one call GM Customer Service re delays in obtaining parts?

I'm replacing an interior door handle and ETA is a week and a half. Many of the parts are not stocked in Canada and have to be ordered from the U.S.

Orignally he had to get permission from the District Service Manager for the order. I am hoping to get it before more bad news befalls the big GM

Since the bullitan has been expanded, expect LONG delays. It took nearly a month to get mine in, even with a SPAC case on it (A SPAC case in the US will see if any dealer has it in stock as well as bumps it up the list to get the order filled quicker). Boxgrover, I feel your pain, but at least GM is paying for it. At the 4 week mark, I would call Pontiac Customer Assitance though to make sure they STAY on top of it.

i had to wait 5 weeks!!go ahead and call Corparte Pontiac.... just be nice and ask why its taking so long!! this is what i did and found out it was backorderd but is now in transit. Dealer called the next day and said it was in.... GM called back the next day and said they were sorry and gave me a free oil change.

From first call to install will have been 2 months.

He says it is the right part no. but the diameter of the pipe...I think he said "as it goes into the manifold" is incorrect . Another week or so to get another. And now I quote: "new pipe has 1.9 0/S diameter, and orig has 2.20 o/s diameter...."
