Spare tire relocation

So....I'm looking around in the vibe on where to put subwoofers. Duh, spare tire well. Only problem is, I drive the ever-loving *^&% out of my cars, and I need to have a spare and jack with me all the time. Anyone know of a spare tire relocation bar or have any ideas on how I can fabricate one? I have access to a machine shop, so that isn't a problem. Just wondering how I can move the spare tire without it being an eyesore, and be able to drop 4 12's in the spare wheel well.

Kind of pricey, but you could buy "run-flats" and eliminate the spare. Several tire cos. make them.

Thanks for the idea, but as a mechanic, I know that run flats aren't all they are cracked up to be. They are good in an emergency pretty much only when you are close to somewhere to get a tire put on, and have the cash to do so. Not always the case with me, so I will keep exploring other options.

You could be the first Vibe owner that has a swing away spare tire carrier mounted on the rear bumper. Like a Jeep. lol

It looks like he raised the floor just a little, so the spare tire still probably fits underneath. I thought it was a cool setup.

Wow that's pretty cool! But now you really can't put much into your trunk unless you covered the subwoofers with something.
