The upcoming 3-door Accent is kinda boring in comparison. But looks like they will have plenty of port-installed and dealer-installed accesories for 'em. The 4-door sedan should be here within the next month or so, I'll have to go scope those out once they show up.

If that version was released into production, I would trade in the Vibe for it. That car is awesome! I never thought I would say that about a Hyundai.

According to what Autoweek said about it at the Frankfurt auto show a couple months ago, if this actually pans out, holy roasted front tires, batman! Nice! Love the interior. Too bad the production cars never look as cool as the concept version.

Hyundai has some cool cars now...never thought I'd say that, but it's true...the longer I live here in Seoul, the more I like their cars.Over here the Accent hasn't been introduced yet. But the 4 and 5 door Rio (Pride in the Korean market) has been on the streets for several months. No performance models yet though. Over here they come with one of 3 engines: a 1.4L 4 cylinder, a 1.6L lean-burn 4 cylinder, or a 1.5L turbodiesel. That turbodiesel is interesting...110 hp (same as the gas 1.5L in the US Rio), but 185 lb-ft of torque, and it's rated at 40 mpg with the 4-speed auto or 48 mpg with the 5 speed manual...fuel economy ratings over here are just one number, biased towards highway mileage. The gas engines can also be mated to a CVT instead of the regular 4-speed auto or 5-speed manual. Also kinda interesting...here in Korea, the compact cars can be loaded up with options nearly as heavily as the higher end cars...I could walk into a Hyundai dealer here, plunk down $15,000 and walk out with a turbodiesel Pride loaded with leather, heated seats, power everything, power moonroof, automatic climate control, 6-disc cd changer in the dash, GPS nav system...you get the idea. I wish the US market ones could be better optioned out like that.
