Break cleaning

I notice some noise coming from the wheels when i drive,''clin clin clin''.And when i break,other noise come too.So,i go to my dealer,the mechanic guy drive little bit.He say that we must clean the break.So,the reception guy ask me if i want,i say why not.He say me that will cost 35.99$ the clean the break.he say that the warranty don't cover the the cleaning break,nader the 15 point expection.Finally i say that i will thing about,then i leave.Did this normal,or the guy try to pass one on me?

I say he is full of it. Check the tires for a stone in the tred. I have never had to have the brakes cleaned on any car.

What's the KM? Yes you can get brakes cleaned, however, I suspect something else is going on and I wouldn't pay $40 to be taken to the cleaners. If I'm to assume from when you joined your Vibe is reaching two years old and if I'm to also assume you do a lot of city driving in a mountain city like Montreal, your brake pads just might need replacing. Get it checked out by sticking your head out to find the sound then pull the tire.Cheers.and I was just in Montreal, great city.

you got rear disc or drum? selling brake cleaning services is not a scam or unheard of. Its actually a rather popular service. But generally is only performed on drum brakes.BTW Montreal is a beautiful city. I almost moved there a couple years ago. But the job I was after fell through.
