I noticed a couple of times when the engine got over 6000 rpm it seems as the rev limiter kicks in way early, nowhere near the red line. i noticed merging into traffic and had to get on it and it sputters. A friend of mine has the same problem. anyone else out there notice it???

This has been discussed here before. This is normal. The fuel shutoff kicks in at about 7000 rpm's until the engine oil reaches the proper temp.
