I just wanted to let all of my fellow Vibe owners know about the great deal I got on a set of Sylvania Silverstar headlights and foglights for my Vibe. I bought each pair for $36.99 which included shipping and handling on eBay. I figure I saved around $35 from the in store price and around $15 even after the in store rebates. Just thought I would let everyone know. I will take some before and after pics of the lights after I install them so you can see the difference.Oh yeah, the seller I bought them from was named direct deals 4 u. They are listed under B/N Silvania Silverstar. If you put that in your search, you will see all the ones he sells.

I just bought some Silverstars to replace the APC bulbs (less quality) I had in my headlamps. Originally they were about $28.00 at my local Advance Auto Parts store. Ended up buying them for $24.95 and each has a $10.00 mail-in rebate through Sylvania. Not a bad deal for about $15.00 per bulb ... and boy what a difference. Definately a jump in quality compared to the APC's.Anyone interested, here is the coupon for the $10.00 off per bulb from Sylvania: (you will need Adobe Acrobat (free) to read this PDF document)http://www.sylvania.com/auto/pdfs/coupon.pdfI'll be replacing my foglamps with Silverstar's as well before the rebate ends.

Speaking of bulb quality, I recently bought my first and last Luks bulbs from Midnight Moose! I only got the right headlight bulb in before it turned too cold to move the battery to reach the left side, and had had it in exactly 30 days when "poof!" I wrote MM re warranty and they pointed me to the warranty section of their site which I had previously overlooked: What a coincidence: the warranty is 30 days! How's that for standing behind your product? Evidently they EXPECT these things to have the lifespan of a housefly! Oh, yes: The clock starts not when you install the bulbs, or when you get them, or even when they ship them, but WHEN THEY RECEIVE YOUR ORDER! (My buddy just got a set that were on back order for almost 3 weeks, so with shipping time included, he had maybe a week of coverage left when they arrived!Yes, they were cheap, and MM did offer a 50% discount on replacements, but no, thanks! I think this is a perfect example of the old axiom: "There is no product that can't be made cheaper and worse"!

I've had my Silverstars for some time now and I love them.Like I stated in a previous thread, I feel that the Silverstars are not as white in color as the Xenon's but are much brighter with regard to light output.Mating them up with the PIAA Plasma ION Yellow Foglights was another wise choice.

I never heard of the Silverstar's before I bought the APC SuperWhite bulbs back in July, but wished I had done a little more research before the purchase. I figured I would replace the APC's with Silverstars when the APC's went dead... sooner than later unfortunately. As previously stated, you get what you pay for.Now I have the Silverstars in the headlamps, but the APC's in the foglamps. The APC's (SuperWhite) now look yellowish compared to the Silverstars. I will definately replace them as well before the rebate expires.

Just curious, but why do you have to move your battery to change your headlight bulb??

It took me about twice the time to do that headlight than the other side. People with bigger hands would probably have a tough time changing the bulb on this side without removing the battery.

This was actually one of the easiest headlight bulb replacements I've made. If I had to move the battery, I wouldnt have changed them over.

Me neither, but I can see if someone had some trouble with the space to work with in that area. It's limited to say the least, but workable.

I had to move the battery too, to change the lightbulbs and I don't have that big of hands. I probly could have done it without doing so, but it was just easier that way. [Pre-MOD picture]

Small hands are good for some things.
