Wow, nice job! What manufacturer and model number is it (couldn't quite read it from the pic)? And does it play DVDs while in motion??

its a jenson, it wont play a dvd in motion you have to have the stupid emergency brake on to watch it, friday i am going to work on trying to figure out a way to override it so i can watch it in motion. heres another of the picture when the radio is on

http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id ... ?id=17064I really want to do something similar to what you have, since I now use a portable player to accomplish the same thing.

Hey that's the exact same one i got. It got it on e-bay for 450 shipped, i think you still can find more of them on there. Oh yeah and to override that e-brake thing yeah you do ground the wire that's marked parking.*EDIT* That is the Jensen VM 9410 i model or something close to that

Thanks for the help everyone, ill ground the parking wire and hopefully that will work, the monitor was 650, but plus the wiring harness, the housing, and i got the 4 year warrenty, the grand total was $850. It sounded expense at first but i got it at best buy and i financed it and it came to be about $22 a month, which is a lot better, and the main reason i got it. But again thanks everyone for the help

It's pretty cheap, and it's a REALLY nice screen, which surprised me initially.Yes, you should be able to just wire the light green wire in the harness to ground. Don't ground out the wire while it's still connected to the brake, though, otherwise the car will 'think' the ebrake is on all the time.

Yep it worked, i grounded the parking wire and sure enough it works. When i bought it they had about 4 indash monitors, some went up to about 1500, and i compared the picture of them to mine and i couldnt really tell the difference, sure you can get the navigation feature but i dont need that, so why pay 1500 for the same picture of the 650 one.
