I was wondering if anyone has any idea where i might be able to find a wire harness for an aftermarket radio on an 05. Ive come to realize that the 05 stock radio has a different harness than 04 and below. I have been able to find them at local stores (best buy, circuit city) however they are asking about $120.00 or more! No way am I paying that for a simple wire harness. Anyone any alternative suggestions? Is hard wiring an option? Also would anyone know why the 05 harness is so expen$ive?

How did you come to realize the '05 is different from the others? Because as far as anyone around here knows, they aren't.Also, I have -no- idea what they're trying to sell you at BB and CC, the harness that they would sell for the newer GM radios is $60.

I've put a 6CD from a 2004 into a 2005, no problems and no harness changes. As Jahntassa said, we're not aware of any differences. Can you post some specifics so we know?

well its obvious the people at cc & bb dont have a clue cause at first they sold me a harness for a matrix and told me that it would work( I should have pulled the stock radio first). Any way it wasn't even close. than they proceded to tell me that the harness that I needed was $120.00. Well guess Im screwed for now.

Depending on the store you go to, you need harness 70-2003 (80-2003 for CC). It is NOT 80-2003T, there should be no T in the harness. You also need a 40-GM10 for the antenna. Plus the fit-kit. Overall the whole thing should be around $40-$50. More or less plug and play from there with the exception of connecting up the harnesses.

the expensive on they are trying to sell you is prolly the one to relocate the stock head unit somewhere for somereason they think the car wornt work without the stock radio in place. total bs on the vibe. happend to me when i was buying my harness. i quickly corrected them
