web host providers

My domain is hosted on a service that has numbers I am embarrassed to post, doesn't cost much, but things like storage space, monthly bandwidth quota, etc are low for the $99/year I am paying. Also, they just changed their account management stuff and I no longer have direct access to the server logs, which I find unreasonable. There are better plans out there. Right now I am thinking of switching to one of the plans at http://1and1.com/xml/order/HostingOverview They had a promo a while back for 3 years of their "developer" plans, and it has been rock solid. That is the site that hosts the MOTM ballot form, and a fair number of pictures I have included in posts in various forums. I also like the SSH access for minor tweaking, so If I was to pay for an account there I would probably go for their "business" plan, at $10/month. What providers do you have for your web presence, and if they offer different plans, which plan do you use? Any comments about your host's uptime, support, special features, etc, good or bad? tia

I use the ISP that I used to work for, but I am thinking about switching to Charter, which is my ISP now. if you have Charter I think they have a deal on hosting, maybe free if they are your ISP.

I use Hostway for my personal sites and sites I host for others. I'm probably 'oversubscribed' on their plans (ie. have a ton of space that I'll never use) but I've never had downtime for the past couple years I've been on them.I don't have any personal experience with 1and1 but I don't think I've heard anything bad about them overall.
