I went out to start it last night so it would be ok to go hunting on saturday and it would not turn over. I know it is not the battery and think I will go ahead and do a spark plug and wire change since I don't know the last time it had one since it was a present from my father , and he bought it from someone who used it on a farm. Does anybody think this could something differant? The motor will try and turn but it will not go over, we did have a charger connected to the battery so again I know it is not that!!

Not too sure what you mean by not turning over. If you meant that the engine will not move or rotate at all, it usually is the battery, starter, starter solenoid or the connections between them. Or, if major, the engine could be seized. If you meant the engine was actually turning over but not starting, it could be electrical (wires, sparkplugs, coil, distributor, ecu, etc.), fuel (bad fuel, carb or fuel injection problems, clogged fuel filter, weak fuel pump, etc.), or internal engine problems (valves, pistons, timing, etc.).Obviously, this is just a brief rundown. Maybe with a few more specifics given, someone here can give a better idea to a solution.

Yeah nothing has moved, sorry the engine will turn but will not start. My plan for attack tomorrow will be to check the spark plugs to see if I'm getting spark and if the is all well, I will then go for the fuel filter and pump. If anyone can think of anything else that would be great. Thanks Everybody!!

a good trick i have heard is to have someone turn the key and stick your ear by the gas tank and see if you can hear the fuel pump making any effort.

Ignition Control Module. Ever change out that? Like you said, I was going to say fuel filter. Ever change out that...I do not know if your module is in the coil(s) or coil pack though.

Someone needs to beat on the gas tank with a rubber hammer or a hammer and a block of wood while a 2nd person attempts to start the truck. If this has no effect, check the coil wire.
