I got an envelope today and in it were my grafxwerks corner vinyls. I was excited all day to put them on and finally I went to do it and they did no fit at all. I was wondering how a flat vinyl was going to fit on a contoured surface but I figured I'd trust them and try to make it work. I was right. Did not fit. If you can picture a hood scoop but on the side of your headlight that's what it looked like. I tried cutting atiny slit across the top of the fold to over lap the two resulting pieces but it looks like **** and didn't work anyways.Did anyone else encounter this? From what I've seen EVERYONE else's seemed to look perfect, what am I doing wrong here? Are you suposed to trim the decal until it fits or what??? I was sooooo pissed I was ready to kick a hole through my garage. Standing back and looking at it on there gave me a taste of how nice it would look had it fit good and that irritated me even more because I could not have it!

you have to heat them with a heat gun or hair dryer to make them contour easily without creases. very easy if you are careful

It took a while to get them as close to right as I could. I still have some small creases near the center on one.

i started from all different sides. Start on right side first, then took off and started on left then started in the middle, top, botton every possible angle.There's soo much extra material in the middle of the vinyl I don't think heat it would shrink it enough. I have one left. The first one's completely ruined so I'll have a go at the other side and if it works I gues I'll just have to get another set.

darn, you beat me to it, I was just gonna edit my post. i was looking for a how-to but cant seem to find one here. and blubatmobiles site is down.

I had the same problem with my tail overlays. You have to use a hairdryer or heat gun and take your time with it.

OK, thanks for all the tips. I managed to somewhat salvage the left side. I put both on using the hair dryer. I wasn't really taking my time nor was I trying to make them look good since I asumed they would not be able to be saved but they were and they look descent. I may order a new set and this time actually do it the right way. Here are some pictures. I can't tell how bad they look until the daylight so I'll have to wait til tomorow.BTW this first pic is of the Silverstar Coolblue driving lights I bought. $15 cheaper than silverstars and I think they look better. The top light is from the stock headlight and hte bottom is from the coolblues. They light up really nice and white on the pavement.

with parking lights on. it makes a little square of light on the side so you can still see the blinker through it. I think it looks neat. Sorry for sounding likea little girl at the beggining of this thread but thanks for the info. everyone.
