I was very happy to get the email about the 'new' iPods, bigger screen, flatter case, and now Video!! I want one, but in the mean time I have started ripping CD's to iTunes, but I have a question, maybe one of the mac guru's can answer, how can I rip DVD's to iTunes so when my iPod gets here, I can watch Intial D at lunch, or an episode of Dead Like Me? BTW, so far, I have about 2 gig's of music ready to dump into the poor unsuspecting iPod (yes, I'm getting the 60 gig one, btw)

http://diveintomark.org/howto/...guide/Can't go directly into iTunes since it would ease piracy and Apple will certainly not support that. But the above link should help you with your task. But my usual disclaimer... I'm not responsible for inappropriate use of the above information.

Yeah, I'm guessing a 2 hour movie will be 5 to 6 gig. I have 2.5 gigs on iTunes right now, which is right at 36 hours worth of music. I'm figuring on using the iPod for multiple uses, photos, music, movies, and data; which is why I'll HAVE to have the 60 gig. My local Apple store expects the new iPods this week, but I have a $30 discount off my 1st Applestore online purchase, and that's half the price of Applecare!! (Yes, i buy Applecare, it's as good as GMPP!)

Ahh I was going to ask about this lil Gem. I was considering the 60 gig one as well, I do editing work and always want to show off my latest little video. NOw aside from that I have a cd collection of nearly 500, do you think all of that would fit on the ipod? 15,000 songs is alot but I never bothered to count how many songs I actually have! Let me know what you think of it when you get it.

2.07 gig = 42 CD's = 537 songs = Approx 26 hours of music in standard (NOT MP3) format.
