EA Sports Nascar Games *Warning RANT Enclosed*

OK, Nascar has sold EA Sports exclusive rights to make video games for game systems and PC's. Lets see what they have done...2004- Not bad....physics suck if you compare them to GT3, but overall, not bad. Grade B-2005- Upgrades include starting in a lower league and working your way up to the Cup Series. Stupid DDR based 'autograph signing sessions' BLOW. Physics are marginally better, graphics are better, but Game freezes a lot, and EA says it's not their fault, it's 3rd party controllers.....or memory cards....or ripples in the ac current...just not them.2006- Phsysics gets another slight booast, as do graphics, but gameplay takes a dive. Game locks up constantly, and as hundreds of players take offense at EA, again, they blame everyone and everything but themselves.Moral of the story, avoid EA Sports racing games.

Nascar racing never interested me much... GT style racing definatly has my interest. But as for EA sports games... I'm a huge hockey and golf game fan though I only have EA Sports Tiger Woods PGA tour 2004. I did have EA sports NHL 2002 on my computer... man was that fun. I was one game away from winning the stanley cup with the Leafs and my brother wanted the disc back.

if you want a really good NASCAR game look for NASCAR Racing 2003 Season(even though its a few years old). graphics are amazing, physics perfect, mods galore ie trucks trans am, indy, IROC, and more. but this new EA NASCAR 06 total control game is really good i think.

I have it. I have 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and Dirt to Daytona. I just like racing games, and sometimes GT gets nervewracking, and going to play Nascar is just fun.2006 WAS fun, until it started freezing up and EA won't stand up and admit they have problems...so far only a very few have hit the 3rd season and found the problem.

EA sports bought the exclusive rights to the NFL also. Now at least they make a good game with the Madden line, but now that they are the only makers, I am sure they will slack off a bit.Why do these organizations sell out to one manufacturer? Competitive markets are so much better

Millions of reasons....................as in $Same reason NASCAR is going to Sirius in '07, greed. XM bid $25m for rights, Sirius bid $107m. Between that and what they are overpaying Stern, I don't see Sirius ever making money. The only EA games that I work are Freekstyle, and Nascar Thunder 2004. Nascar 2003 is sloppy and has a really BAD emotion engine, 2005 & 2006 both get stuck, and the SSX series just doesn't play all that well. I play mainly racing games, never been much into sports games mainly because I don't much much for ball 'sports'. Ball = Game, Racing is a SPORT.....just ask Hemmingway!

Mountain Dew's GameLive tour to different colleges hit my school and they had all of the new and bout to be released games out for Xbox for everyone to try. one of the games was the newest EA attempt at NASCAR was there and it is just as good as Sierra's NASCAR Racing 2003 Season. Damage is acruate to real life but the gravity is a little off, to where once you get the car turned around you get the lift even when the roof flaps deploy, and the tracks are a little to big to be to scale to the real tracks. the trucks are just one body choice unlike the cup and nbs where they have ford, dodge, and chevy models. overall it is a farly good console game i think.

2006 has about 6 or so Fanatasy Road Courses, I'm late for work, or I'd fire up the game and give them to you. I'll edit this post later and post them.
