So, here the matchups for the league championships:AL:Los Angeles-Anaheim Angels vs. Chicago White Sox (White Sox win ALCS 4-1)NL:Houston Astros vs. St. Louis Cardinals (Astros lwin NLCS 4-2)So, who's your pick to win it all? This is about as close to a re-vote as you're ever gonna get, so make it count!

Gotta go with the Redbirds, from the heart of Cardinal Nation!I think the Astros will be a challenge, definitely, but we've had their number all season. This year will be a whole different NLCS than last. I don't think we'll see 7 games in this one.As for the AL contenders, I've got to admit that the Angels seem like they would be the easier to eliminate in the WS if they make it past the ChiSox. But that's where the problem lies. They're wiped out after the ALDS with New York. So I think Chicago has the edge in the ALCS. So with that in mind, I think that the White Sox and the Cardinals will be meeting for the World Series. I know Chicago definitely has a stake in winning this year, but I think St. Louis wants it more, especially after the embarrasing showing last year against the Red Sox. I think we'll see an entirely different St. Louis club on the field in the WS this year, and I think they'll bring home the championship.

Here's why I'm picking the Astros.1) Rested and Healthy. While almost every member of the team was involved in Sunday's marathon, they'll have two full days of rest before the NLCS. No Astros have any nagging injuries, while the Cardinals have to worry a little about Mark Mulder and Chris Carpenter.2) Bullpen. The Astro's pen demonstrated some amazing work in the series against Atlanta, especially in the marathon game, holding Atlanta scoreless over the final 10 innings. Their ERA during the playoffs (including Clemens' 3-inn stint) was 2.33. St. Louis' pitching against San Diego overall was better (3.66 ERA), but their bullpen had a 13.50 ERA.3) Home Turf. St. Louis has a better overall record, but the Astros have a better record at home. And Minute Maid park will keep that roof closed to better amplify the crowd noise no doubt.4) The Hitting Falacy. St. Louis isn't as dominant in the hitting department as folks would like you to believe. Sure, Pujols is a monster (and my NL MVP pick), but their BA in the San Diego series was .284 vs. the Astros .265. They averaged 7 runs a game; the Astros 6.25. Which leads me to the big one...5) The Three-Headed Monster.. You know what I'm talking about. Oswalt, Pettitte, and Clemens. No manager can honestly say that he's not worried about facing these guys. Oswalt held St. Louis to 1 run in their next to last meeting and Carpenter was roughed up the next day (Astros won both games). All this sounds like arguments only for winning the NLCS, but they hold true against Chicago with one major addition...* Designated Hitters and Hitting Pitchers: Houston's Pitchers can hit and bunt with the best of them. It is likely that Jeff Bagwell and Orlando Palmero will be the picks for the DH slot and each gives you power and finesse, respectively.Astros in Six.

Cardinals win the first game; WhiteSox steal their second. Pettitte's gonna have to shake this one off if he's going to be of any use in Game 5.

Well, the Astros proved they can play this game, in spite of Edmonds' fantastic fielding. Oswalt and Lidge played up to everyone's expectations. Now it's three games in Houston...I can't wait!

Astro-Cards, Game 4 to Houston. What a game! You had just about everything in this...great pitching and fielding on both sides...controversial calls around the plate...Tony LaRussa & Jim Edmonds thrown out..and an awesome double-play to finish the game.I'm exhausted...but very happy.

205 wins in the past two seasons, and we can't string together more than 5 runs in 3 games. Something's not right here.....We've got tonight to start redeeming ourselves. Houston doesn't need a pennant yet

I have no clue what you said, but Pujols hit that ball sooooo FAR! I am not routing for the Cards though. But that has to be one of the hardest hit homeruns I have seen in my lifetime (outside of BP and homerun derby)

Ouch! What a roller coaster ride last night's game was! I told my wife that if they couldn't get Pujols to swing on some inside pitches (which Lidge doesn't really do) they should just intentionally walk him and hope for a force out. Not ten seconds after I said that..BOOM. It was an amazing sight, to be sure. But, I'm good. I predicted six games....
