No lateral support, waaaay too soft, etc, etc....What is a viable alternative w/o spending a poopload? Do the seats out of a Celica fit the mounting points??God I hate my seats...that's my only ***** about the car!!!

Wow really? I think my seats are fantastic - my (removed) doesn't get sore on long trips. They seem nice and firm and supportive.

I think they are excellent also but on both my '04 and '06 they squeak like crazy. I hate to bring it in for such a trivial matter but it bugs the crap out of me.

You're probably stuck with what you have. Seeing how high the seats mount, and the way the seat track itself mounts, I doubt you will be able to replace them. Maybe if you can figure out how to mount another seat on the current seat tracks, but I dont' think that would even work.Hell, at least your seat doesn't pop and rock back and forth when you take corners, accelerate, or stop as mine does.

Interesting...the Vibe seats are the most comfortable ones I've ever had in a vehicle. I them, big time. But the best bet for straight replacement would probably be a Corolla seat, if they're any better. Might want to go to a Toyota dealership and check those out to see if you like them.

I love the seats. I took a 13 hour drive and wasn't uncomfortable at all. As far as the Celica seats, I don't know, probably not though.

The Vibes aren't too bad, would be nice if they had more lateral support and were deeper set in back, I like to lounge in my car.

I bought one of those wedge cushion from Wal-Mart. Now I can do longer trips without shoulder and backache.

Go drive a GTI at a VW dealer and you'll sit in good seats...They just suck for lateral support. Overall, the cushioning is okay but JC, this little car begs to be driven in a spirited fashion thru twisty roads. The seat isn't holding up it's end of the bargain...! The seat in my wife's POS Vebture van have more lateral support!!Maybe a Sparco with some custom bracket work is in order...

Should have bought a base that doesn't beg for that spirited driving or whatever.

Though it's also why I get such awesome gas mileage so I'll take my boring driving and happiness with the seats I guess. LOL

My seats are fine but they attract stains from nothing. There're blotches of faded spots fmo something all over...

God yes... A bottle of perfectly clean, crystal clear fricken' water stains the damn seats! (removed)? My seats are pretty nasty looking at this point. I've got one of the 5 or s Vibes ever produced with the lighter (Slate) interior, so it's just flat out disgusting. I get big money on trade in!Hey, how about a seat like this...
http://index.hu/cikkepek/total...d.jpgWould that work?

Yeah I agree with the seats staining easily!Even water stains them and leaves unsightly marks. Looks like I may have to spend some $$$ and get covers. What's the best way to clean the seats btw?

My seats are awsome! never got a sore (removed) after driving all the way across canada, averaging 8-10 hour straight drives per day. Yes the lighter material on the seats does seem to "stain" easy but it comes out. I got the dark seats.

I have all the lateral support I need. But then again I am 270 pounds and six feet tall. The lateral support comes from the doors.

I LOVE the seats. They are the most comfortable seats I've had in any of my cars.

I think that laterally they're not very good. Does anyone know if anyone's put racing seats in their vibes? Did they have to put in new buckles and stuff like taht?

Seats are decent for comfort, but my front passenger seatback is loose

I think the Vibe seats are decent, but they're not great. They are a little softer than what I would like, but I like the look and feel of the fabric. The Vibe seats are much better than the seats in other GM small car / small wagon entries such as the Chevrolet Cobalt, Chevrolet HHR, and Saturn Ion. The seats in these cars are thin, have no support, and have really lousy cloth fabric. I would only get the leather seats in these vehicles. The Vibe seats are no match for the seats in the Honda Civic. Hondas have great seats.I do have a problem with my front passenger seat in my 2006 Vibe. It rattles. The seatback never locks properly and is loose. I can wiggle it by hand or see it move when I go over a bump. Hopefully, my dealer can fix it.

The seat comfort really just depends on the each person. I personally think the seats are great. I like how they are softer, I don't like stiff seats that many cars have. I also like the back support. My back never gets sore, unlike many other cars I have driven or ridden in such as my brother's Honda and I find those seats very uncomfortable. My only complaint in sitting in the Vibe is the arm rest positions. On longer drives my shoulders get sore because I tend to rest my left arm on the window sill and my right is lower on the arm rest. The uneveness causes a strain in my neck/shoulder. That's the only soreness I've had, even after driving for 18 hours with only a few stops.

My daughter and I both have 2005 Vibes, but I have factory leather and she has cloth and her seats are lots softer than mine. Don't know why they would be different but we both think the ones in my Vibe are more comfortable. Another weird thing, I consistently get about 29 mpg and drive about 1/2 hwy and 1/2 city. She drives just a little more city, but only gets about 24-26mpg.

Have to switch with him sometime.....The Vibe's MPG is very senistive to driving style. Could be she's a little more heavy-footed. Also, shorter trips of the same mix will get less mpg, if she puts on less miles per trip than you.

yea i dont like these seats very much either, im 6'00", 160lbs and i slide side to side on the seat when pushing it through corners, and comfort schm-omfort, my mom's G35 seats feel like "goodness" ,But yea, im buying Corbeau A4 seats to replace the stock ones, they make brackets for the vibe/matrix and everything (and they are reasonably priced)
