i had an idea to hard wire a head set and use my radio. the whole thing would cost me nothing, since i already have evrything i need. i was looking into getting a blue tooth phone and car adapter. i was looking at about 300$ after all. then the idea came in. so here it is. ok, what i did was take a home phone head set. took it apart. and extend the wires and adapt it to a rca out put. i then hard wired it to my car's radio and dash for mic. right there you can see my harness. the head set was a uniden home phone mic and earpeice. after destroying the head set, i was left with a bunch of wires. then i found a video and audio rca cables i had laying around. cut out one of the rca's. cut the mic peice from the head set. extended the mics' wire about 5 feet. everything was soldered. i knew that i was going to have to pull all these wires thru small cavities, and didn't want it to come aprt out in the car. my sone HU has a aux input. theat's where i connected the rca. i did split the 1 rca out put into two with a radio shack one i had from forever ago. the mic peice is inside the driver's side a pillar. at first, i had the mini jack coming out of the gear console. then i found a better location for the wire to exit he dash bord. after i find a good cell phone cradle, i will use that cavity and place the phone near there. it would look better. like i said earlier, the 1st position wasn't good, so this is where i had the mini jack come out at. it's out of the way, out of sight, and can be used now with the phone in the little compartment there. after i get the caddle. i will make the mod permaent and make it look stock. i plan to put the mic behind the center of the moon roof control. i will make little holes and put the mic there. it will look like onstar. ha ha
