Troops, we got our first real mega dumpage of snow (35 cm,s) on the praries. The continental tires on my Vibe in deep snow are absolutely horrendous. I could not even move & was incredibly disapointed. I went to Kal tire bought 2 15" steel rims for $69 each cus they had the only ones that would fit. Cavalier steel rims do not fit. I then went to Walmart & bought a set of Dunlop 195/65/15 Graspic studless ice radials. the difference was so incredible it felt like I had AWD. I purposely went looking for the deepest snow I could find but I just sailed thru anything. Wow..what a diff!

Your lucky, here in Montreal, it rains....quote:The continental tires on my Vibe in deep snow are absolutely horrendous. I could not even move & was incredibly disapointed. Totally agree, Continental tire are crap in snow.quote:I went to Kal tire bought 2 15" steel rims You bought only 2 rims... Why not 4?quote:15" steel rims for $69 each cus they had the only ones that would fit. 69$, seems a bit expensive. I got mine for $39,95 (canadian) at UNIPNEU.quote:Cavalier steel rims do not fit. If I were you, I won't bet on this. On my invoice, it is written standard 5x100 steel rims. Cav. rims should fix the Vibe.quote:I then went to Walmart & bought a set of Dunlop 195/65/15 Graspic studless ice radials. the difference was so incredible it felt like I had AWD.
