Someone's got it in for all those Hurricane Katrina survivors who made it to Texas.I'm not nervous yet, mostly because I'm 80 miles from the coast and 150 ft in elevation.

Fill up your gas tanks now!!!Now that the prices are same as pre Katrina and Rita on a similar path...

its alittle of both for Texas people. 1. we need the rain from this(even though im in SA) 2. the gas situation pre Rita is depending on how bad it will hit Houston and other cities around the coastal areas of TX and LA.

Saw coverage of the New Orleans levee breaches today. Good thing all those billions haven't been spent yet. Time to rethink the plans to rebuild New Orleans...

We got freakin spanked over the weekend.Tornado sirens and limbs flying around everywhere.It looked like someone had a party in the parking lot this morning when I got into work and just left all the trash lying around.We had no tv or internet Saturday and Sunday

Wow...glad that you're okay otherwise!We were flat-out lucky. Mostly broken limbs and a few fences down, but no flooding, and hardly any rain. We lost power for 12 hours, but not bad considering we expected worse.So, now I got 96 liters of bottled water and about 30 AA cells as mementos...

Mississippi State University (where my wife is) got hit by high winds last night (they havn't called it a tornado YET), and there was damage to several buildings.

There's a lot of people in the North Dallas with buku water and batteries too. At least you might have had some need of them. Local news (i hate them) whipped everyone into a frenzy up here. Targets, WalMarts, and some gas stations were packed at the end of last week, and there wasn't a drop of bottled water to be found over the weekend.

thats not bad here in SA bout 3-4 days before land fall people here were goin nuts for water at H.E.B, Walmart, Target, etc. then the gas situation that day was also bad. AND WE GOT NOTHING- no rain, not even a slight brezze.(oh, off topic here why haven't all of those other vibers signed up for the meet here in SA in the next 2 weekends?)-just courious.-
