Hi,I was thinking about running the stock RSA's this winter since the thread will be new.I found a guy who is selling 4 (like new) Michelin Arctic Alpins for $160 obo CANSounds like a sweet deal. Anybody have any experience with these ? Also is this size good and how much do you think 15" steel rims would cost. Oh and where's a good place to buy some ? Canadian Tire ?Sorry for all the questions.

The RSA's are no good for a Nova Scotia winter. For 15" rims you want a 195/65/15 tire. The Michelins sound like a great deal but check the tread depth. 10/32nds is new depth. Wheels are about $50.00 Can. each. 5x100 bolt pattern. Toyota Corolla or Cavalier/Sunfire wheels.

I forgot to mention the size of the tires for sale.205 65R 15Would this still be a good size ?The guys says they are mint and still have the "nipples" on them.Ideally I'd like to get winters but I have to see if we can afford it. Sounds like if these tires were available it would cost me ~450 or so once I purchased rims & installed , balanced etc...

They are 2.44% larger in diameter which is acceptable. 60mph would show up as 58.5 on your speedometer.

15 inch rims for a cav/sunfire will not fit over the front brake caliper you have to use one with the right offset to clear. I bought a set that are made for a dodge shadow 15x6 and they fit over the caliper fine the ones I had at home for my cav/sunfire would not clear the calipers.

On Goodyear's site they are rated an 8/10 in the snow. I'll be driving, not my wife most of the time so I'll be careful and should be alright.
