Does anyone know if the glass hatch can be "popped" with the remote keyless entry?

It sure can. There's a button right on the remote labeled hatch.

The button on the remote will actually open the glass hatch? Is there a special way to push the button, or do you just hit it once? Mine will not open unless I push the button on the inside of the car for the glass hatch.

You have to hold it down for about 3 to 4 seconds, then it will open.

I wish they would have told me that when I got it. It works when I hold down the button. Thanks.

The dealer.salesman did not know this either. I just wish the back hatch would lock with the doors. I am always leaving it unlocked!

The glass hatch "locks" when it is closed correcty. I think the original poster is refering to the fact that if you do a hatch release, and then a door lock, the hatch is still unlocked. The only way to lock the glass hatch is to open and close it after it's unlocked.

Ahh, I understand now.... and that is correct, as I have just tried the steps you have mentioned. Thanks.

With my Vibe the only way to lock/unlock the rear door (not glass) is via the key!!!!!! (Base with Power Package)I have just been going about my business for the two weeks I've had my car with the tailgate unlocked...Why doesn't it lock/unlock with the other doors? The way it is is VERY frustrating...My 2cPJEPS. Does anyone know anyone offering a service to add a solenoid to the rear lock and tie it into the other doors. TIA

If you have the power package, it should unlock with the other doors (using lock and unlock from the keyfob). You should probably have that looked at by your dealer.

The rear hatch (not glass) unlocks with the key fob however, you have tto push the button twice. If you push the button once, it only unlocks the driver door. Push the button twice and it unlocks all the doors including the hatch. The glass unlocks with the hatch button on the fob but you have to hold the button down for about 2 or 3 seconds.

If you push the unlook twice, you will hear a lowd unlock from the hatch itself. That's about the only way I know I got all the doors to unlock.

CAN I add a (glass hatch) release button to a non power package vibe?? Easily like is the wiring there it just needs the switch, or would it be way more complicated?

You'd have to put an actuator on the glass release, just like on the hatch, so it'd probably be more complicated..
