Been thinking about getting the yellow foglight overlays, so I was wondering how you put them on. If anyone here has done overlays, could you tell how you did it? Pics would be nice too Thanks

I srayed a little soapy water on the fog light centered the overlay and use a blow dryer to dry it in place.

So is it the same application steps for the taillight overlays?

I also have the overlays for the tail lights. I'm at work and no pics here. they go on the same way. the reason for the soapy water is to be able to align them before their stuck in place.

Do the taillight overlay pieces cover the whole tail, or just the amber part?

Amber overlays.I didn't use a hair dryer for mine, I don't really have the luxury of a nearby outlet so I just had to be creative. heh! I just sprayed the lenses down with the dish soap/water solution described above. Once I got them aligned, I turned the fogs on to shrink the vinyl.Has anyone tried to buy anything from bat lately? The reason I ask is that several months back, I inquired about a product he was selling, and I never received a response back. Bummer.

That's nice to know. But I'll be buying a set of those "cobbled together stupid plastic covers" though, once I get some money.

Yeah, you're right, plastic covers with visible velcro attachment points look WAAAY better...

OK, that's really enough. Toolguy made a product that solved a major and expensive problem for a number of members. He has graciously offered them up for sale.Maybe it's not the most elegant fitment but it works and a number of people are quite happy with them. If you don't like them, don't buy them but there's really no call for openly bashing them.

I believe ryan at grafxwerks can also do the overlays. Several of us were pretty much blown off when attempting to contact bat, myself included, so I asked Ryan if he could do it instead. Would much prefer to give him the business.

You'll just need to find ya a set of actual GM horns from a junkyard, that's probably going to be your best bet.

Just have to mount them. My single mounted in the same spot with a little adjustment to the new horn bracket.Lots of new cars only have one horn these days, cost savings to just add one then the older cays for two, high & low. My horn was under $20 I believe. There are better but it is just a horn after all.

colored fog lamps?? why? there are plenty of A/M fog lamps out there to go with overlays.. i don't like them.

and aftermarket dont fit the foglight hole perfectly so they look goofy

Just posting to say I got the overlays and couldn't get the stupid things on.

Mine were a PITA to get installed. Get a spray bottle and put a bit of dish soap in there, fill with water.Clean the light sufficiently. I can't remember what I used, that was a long time ago. Spray the light down with the dish soap/water and you will be able to align the overlay as needed. Turn on the fogs to get the heat necessary to make the material adhere to the surface if you don't have a heat gun. Smooth out with a lint free cloth or something or other...At any rate, they came off my car a lot better than they went on. IF you can get a hold of him see if he will send you another set, customer service wise, that is the right thing to do, even though you messed up and even if it was your fault, I think you should get a free set. At least that's what I would do if I had sold you them.
