Mr. Grille billet grill

I have a silver 2004 Vibe and I'm thinking about adding a billet grill. I found the Mr Grille grills on eBay for $85. The grill attaches using zip ties. Has anyone had any problems with the grills staying tight? Does the grill fit perfectly or does it need a little modification. I know the posting says they fit perfectly but some feedback says otherwise. Also, does anyone have a pic of the grill on a silver Vibe?

I had them on my Satellite Vibe and loved them. They do NOT come loose at all. You can probably see some pics on my cardomain or photobucket website.

I love Freshmen girls, I get older but they stay the same age. It took about 30 minutes to install my grills but I am a perfectionist so I wanted them to be straight. I used three zip ties on each grill so they will not come off.

Don't let the zip-ties worry you. I have my originals on from a couple years ago lol. VERY durable little guys. Here's a pic of mine with the three-piece...

Anyone install these puppies on a 2005? I wonder if it would have the same cool look.....The 03/04's look good because of the recessed grill....I'm not so sure about the 05's.

I spent about 3 hours today working on installing these on my '06. What a pain in the (removed). There are 5 pieces and only the middle grill on the bottom uses zip ties now. The two small grills on the bottom require small holes to be drilled in the plastic and the bolts that are supplied are too short by about 1/32". I got two on the drivers side and gave up after dark on the passenger side. I'm going to buy some longer ones. The two main OEM grilles must be removed and little brackets drilled and attached with pop rivets. I can hardly wait! The final look is going to be wicked but it's a lot of work compared to the '03 and '04 grilles.

Can't wait to see pics of it completed. I was interested in getting a grill for my '05 but wasn't sure of how it was attatched and how it would look. Keep us posted.

have you ever felt a monotone lower body piece? its just like a two tone, only painted. you should just get ur lower body pieces painted unless its cheaper to buy the new parts.

I've thought about that too..another option I had was to paintthe lower parts white and get tthe factory sport package in black.

Well, I started to install the two top grills yesterday. I quit after I realized it is 100% completely impossible to do without removing the entire front bumper even though it says it can be done with the bumper on. Maybe if you had 2 very large trained octupus it could be done. I don't think I will install the top grilles. Cutting and drilling a car less than 6 months old bothers me. Unless you cut out the stock grilles with a sawzall or jigsaw, all the structure behind the fascia must be removed, it's all together in 2 halves. You have to drill holes in the fascia and L-brackets to mount the grilles using pop-rivets.I think it would be a very tricky job to get a good looking end result. There is also good potential for making major f#@%-ups. Yes the screws and rivets will be visible when the hood is open.

I wouldn't do anything like that to my car... I don't blame you for not installing it.
