god, saturday night sucked! i was at a bar with some friends minding my business, when an off duty venice, IL cop walked over and started yelling "why do you guys keep staring over here?"i told him noone was fing staring at them and to chill, so he sat down and i thought all was well. nope. later i was talking to some girl, when all of a sudden i hear a loud smack and my head flies back. i was freaking sucker punched by another off duty cop from madison, IL. then, my buddies flipped out and were yelling "this is Fing BS!!" and the whole bar broke into a riot! after all was said and done about 8 on duty cops showed up, a bunch of people got arrested and the bar got shut down! what a crock.

That is F'ing BS. Did you get arrested, did the sucker punching cop get arrested?

Call your local news channel and schedule an interview. File a lawsuit for assault, emotional distress, etc and ask for 1.2 million dollars in damage. That's what they do in Los Angeles at least.Sorry to hear about your outing. It certainly does suck when some dumba$$ instigates a bar fight. Something similar happened to a group at a local bar I frequent. They've been instructed to close 3hrs early indefinitely because of that one incident.

i have no idea who got arrested, i gave a statement and my name and refused to press charges (that would be a dangerous move to pull) and had my aunt pick me up, i just wanted the hell out of there.

That sucks! Sometimes people of power use it in crappy moves because they can! Jerks! Sucker punch, that is a manly thing to do! Sounds like a bunch of similar dumb asses drinking together and just wanting to cause trouble.

I would have gone Jackie Chan on their azzez and still claim self defense. Up here, you can swing first and still get off on a self defense plea. Especially if you're out numbered.Back in the day (In the Marine Corps.) one of my 'hobbies' was bar brauling. Now since I have a family i try to avoid confrontation. And the little wife always jumps in before me. I was pouting all weekend. My Unichip STILL hasn't gotten back so I STILL haven't been able to install my S/C! Not too happy with them lately.

i was so drunk i didnt even realize i had been hit at first. would have been mauled by just about anyone if i had tried. my buddies tried to get some action, but there were just too many people in the bar.

You could always sue the Madison County cop. Madison County has the highest payouts of any court system in the country.Seems that the people there use any kind of accident or abuse as a lottery.

(in "villiages" which are not a city and don't have their own police)

update: apparently, there is an investigation concerning the fight. the chief of police was collecting phone #'s and names! down with the b*stard cops!!
