I own 2 Vibes

My Wifes Caviler got totaled so we bought one blue one base model with auto. Then we decided that we needed a second one for me to drive because of the fuel mileage. It is moonstone with moon and tunes power and M/T just added a K/N filter. I do have a gripe I wanted the Supercharger the sales brochure says it is available for the 2005 but in reality it is not. Any Idea of when?

Welcome to GenVibe! There will most likely be no GM S/C made for the '05. However, there is some on people Matrixowners.com and 9thgencorolla.com trying to get an adapter custom made to be able to use the 3004 & 3004 S/C's to work on the 2005's. Here is the link: http://matrixowners.com/forums....html

I ain't too bright, but seems counter productve to buy a VIBE for good mpg and then put a supercharger on it.

I don't want a supercharger anyway, I bought my vibe for it's awesome power plant... man, 160 horses? Phew... too much for me.

If you do not change your driving habits after installing the supercharger, it won't affect your gas mileage much. That's a huge "if" though. And with rising gas prices, the extra hit of having to feed the SC vibe a higher octane fuel is less significant.

You can use the GM Super charger with the Gm S/C ECU or use an aftermarket piggyback computer like Unichip or e-Manage.
