When I first posted this thread, I was new to Myspace and thought it was pretty cool. Now that I've experienced it and seen really how fake so many of the people are and how a large majority the people just use to see how many so called "friends" they can get, I'm not as much a fan of it. So many of the girls (removed) themselves out, take lewd pictures, etc. Sure is nice eye candy, but they're just attention whores. Then there are the guys, especially one guy in particular that I see commenting on all the girls (actually not all, only all the attractive girls) in my area, and they post the same comments on every hot girl's page, "You are so hot. I just had to say that. Email me sometime." or some crap along those lines. These guys do this to every hot girl they see and claim to have hundreds, sometimes thousands of hot female friends. Sure, bet you haven't met a single one of them in person and probably can't. I guess they use it as an ego booster. Another thing that gets annoying is all the music/videos people put on their pages and then the bad page designs that you can barely read.Now, I know not everyone is like this. Probably most of us here and most of my friends on there don't do this, but it seems the majority of myspace users do and I think it's pretty dumb. I just use it to keep in touch with friends and aquaintances. I've also had some people that I hadn't seen or talked to in years find me on there, so it's cool in those aspects. That's my little rant now and that's what I now think of myspace.

i don't make "friends" with anyone i don't know on there. all of my friends (with the exception of jholste) are people i have actually hung out with. i don't understand the point of seeing how many you can get. i guess it's like people who want to have the most posts. like anyone notices anyway...

i only have 4 friends on myspace. my wife, an old girlfriend, this guy i used to hate in high school, and ofcourse, tom.one time i went thru all the poeple that were there from my high school. just to see what they were up to. i wasn't impressed.i also hate the teen gansta wanna be's. my 15 yr sister has a ton of them there.

Actually you know what, I was found by two of my best and only friends from back in 1st grade on Myspace. It was wild too because as soon as I saw the one I recognized his face even from so long ago but I said to myself, there's no way it's him...then he asked me if I went to McGlinnen and sure enough...him and the other kid Steve are still friends after all these years too.
