Hello everyone,Glad to meet you for the first time! I just bought a second hand Vibe GT 2003 (43000km). This car suffered a car accident when first owner was still using it. It is on repair right now. Not very damage. Structure, suspension direction or engine not touch. We got a very good price! It was a good opportunity also.We decided to sold our Ford Escort wagon 1998 (which accumulated kilometer without any severe problems, we loved it!) to push a little bit away normal repairs. As you know, Vibes have an anti-theft system. Our car comes with one key and one remote only. We'd like to add an other set to make it more "userfriendly"... We know that we will have no other choice than buying a new starting key. But, what about the remote itself. At the dealer, it's too expensive. Spending at least $200.00CAN total is not an option. So, I went to eBay and find such remote not very expensive. Very surprise! But, does the instructions they claim to provide with the remoteare adequate to perform the reprogramming? I doubt this instruction include actual anti-theft system reprogramming. So, Am I forced togo to the dealer? What should I do, really!?Thanks for any replies!Bob

Thank you Storm!I saw that website recently. But, I was not confident it should be applied for Vibe's remotes and keyless programming.

What features of the Toyota system are included on the 03 Vibe? Can we really program the system to lock and unlock doors with the ignition switch?

Thank you ArcsVibe!I found this site very interresting and full of details. And by the way, it's the first time in my life I'm discussing car related subjects on the net.It is very special. First of all, when you think you buy the best car based on your searches to find something not very expensive and not too far from your expectation of what should be the best choice, you always discover weard things and some others aspects you never thought they exist. This bought my wife and me did recently, was a very exciting decision to take and also one that has been hard to take also.We are very happy to have a Vibe right now. We are still waiting for it. It is on repair for the accident it suffered when the last owner make a crash before. And repairs are going in the good direction. I'm visiting the garage each and every day to see everything concerning repairs. That's funny!
