I have been having this problem on and off. Sometimes when I am driving during the day my entire panel will flicker, gauages, radio, the whole nine yards. It doesn't last long maybe 2-4 seconds. Then I notice that I can adjust the brightness of the display without the lights on. Has anyone else had this problem?

Ar you sure it's not just the auto headlights just turning on and off as you drive through shawows?

I think Nova is wright. Look like the auto light sensor. It is too sensitive and not a the good place. The A pilar makes shadow on the sensor and the light turn on.

Not sure. I hear a click before the flickering. Also you know when you just have your DRL's on you can't adjust the brightness of the guages. After the flicker I can adjsut the brightness of the guages. Is that what you are referring too or should I get it check out?

What king of clic? It sound like a relay clic or like a short on an electrical wire? Auto light makes a little clic when the sensor turn on the relay.Also, it is a very quick flicker or it is there for more then 30 sec. Check if it does the same as you manually turn on the light. If it is the same, it is because the sensor turn on your light automatically. To minimaze the impact of that, I adjust the light brightness at the highest level. When the auto-light turn on, the gauges do not disapeard.

The relay for the headlights does click when they go on. Also, check for the little green lightbulb at the bottom of the tach. If it's lit, the headlights are on, if it's not lit, only the DRL's are on.

I tried to get it to do get it to work, btu it hasn't. I will see if it will come on today on my way home from work.

Thanks for your help guys. It was the lights turning themselves on. It just freaked me out when it happened @ noon on a Sunny Florida Day. Stupid place to put the sensor like Sub-Vibe-R saidthat was a bit embarrasing

If you decide auto lights is a stupid feature, it's easy to disconnect. Unplug it or do the DRL relay lobotomy you can find on http://vibeowner.home.attbi.com/
