Installed Bazooka RS8A-HP

I spent the day yesterday working on my Vibe. I installed my old Bazooka RS8A-HP subwoofer that I used to have in my last car. It had been sitting in my parents' basement for a while, so I thought I'd put it to good use. I modified the mounts that you normally use two screws to mount into the floor. I drilled a whole in the center, bought some bolts that have the same thread as the slide hold downs in the trunk and bolted the mounts into the track. I ran a 10 gauge power wire under the door sills on the driver side, through the firewall to the battery with a 25amp inline fuse. I grounded it on one of the tie down hooks. Then I tapped into the speaker output wiring harness of my Moon & Tunes amp. I ran those speaker wires under the passenger side door sills then under the carpet underneath the front driver seat, and came out where the rest of the amp wiring does. It's working great and now I have some nice, solid, clean bass to my system. This Bazooka used to be one of their higher end models. I bought it back in 1999. It has an 8" woofer and 150 watts RMS amplifier built in. Here's a picture:
