M&T Setup

Ok I haven't really looked or taken the chance to wana really get involved with it being so late in the year. With the M&T's amp, I wish to replace my speakers with something a tad bit nicer maybe Infinity or some JL Audio. If I go with new components up front. Is the tweeter and speaker combined like a regular component set with the x-over or is there 2 seperate lines taken to the amp to show a difference in speakers?
