Hi all, my wife and I just bought a 2005 Vibe. It is the base, and since the car is mainly for her its an auto. Also got the power pack and alloys. Not a bad car at all. I had a pontiac in the past, a '96 Trans Am, and I hope this one is a little more reliable We picked the car up Friday and have about 500kms on it so far. Love the A/C, so cold.

I don't really know what to dofor mods. It is basically going to be my wifes car / fuel effeicent runner vehicle. I was disappointed to hear that supercharging the 05's isn't easy.

Welcome to genvibe. Looks nice. Having a Toyota powertrain is supposed to make these cars reliable.Quote, originally posted by trdvibe »welcome to gvc. and i never had a problem with my a/c. seemed cold enough for me. no doubt, you live in Alaska. LOL, you don't have to be in Alaska for a cold winter. There were a few days last winter with the wind chill that it got down to -52 degrees celcius. That was in North Bay Ontario

hey, that was fairbanks! lol. the coldest we may get in anchorage is -20 ° F for a 10 days at most. usually it's about 20 ° F - 35 ° F, especially most reacent winters. a few years ago, we didn't have any snow until dec. 23! people were still mowing their lawns at Thanksgiving! that was insane!!!
