well i "modded" (destroyed) the original cradle for my Ipaq 3765 a couple years ago and since have not sync'd my PDA. of course, i've also gotten rid of the software (i think) or it's somewhere in the abyss knows as "storage unit." i want to install a few applications and update my windows media player on this thing, anyone know how to do it? i did manage to order a usb cable and d/l the latest version of active sync. it's now sync'd as best it can. still, i would like to get the silly thing uploaded with tetris or freecell! way back when it was free to share, i d/l some games and such off one of those sites (not napster). anyone know where i can d/l some for free or really really cheap?? lol

Contact the maker of the unit, or check their website. I have an old handspring, and they have all their software on their site, as long as you provide a model & serial #.

Just download ActiveSync from http://www.Microsoft.com/mobile.That'll give you what you need to install software and sync the PPC. You can also find the latest versions of the MS applications there.

Ahh... now I read that in your post. As far as cheap, PocketGear.com has some around $10.00. I'm not real up on the games and such. I use mine more for email, web and the calendar.

Tucows is a great place for free/shareware.HPC is a pretty good sites.PPC 4 U is a good site, check out their Top Site listings. There's always download.com and shareware.com, but a lot of times these are just full of junk. I miss my H5550... Now I got this ipaq 2215 brick.

alright, so i went to one of the sites and downloaded freecell (because it was free ) as an ARM program. it's been a few years since i've done this, so i don't remember which format works on the ipaq. then after i d/l it, i try to open it and it gives me some wierd error message saying it's not a valid win32? application. huh??? anyone know how to install it onto my pocket pc? or get the damn thing to even work? i tried just moving the file into my "pocket pc documents" file, but that didn't work either. aggh!

What file extension was on the file you downloaded? When you move the file to "My Pocket PC Documents" and sync the file should get copied to your pda. You'll be able to find it using the File Explorer.
