...but not a cool reason why they were taken. An area of the Boudary Waters Canoe Area is on fire and has been for about a month. This is the only way they can fight the fire because of the extreme remote location. There are three of these Bombardier CL-215 Tanker Planes up there and they have dropped 186 loads containing 260,000 gallons of water on the fires as of Friday.
