Hello all, It's been a while since my first post, had to leave the new car market for a few months. Anyway, I like the Vibe AWD instead of the Tucson or Subaru Impreza but I was curious about the actual gas mileage with AWD. The window sticker lists much better mileage than the others, so I'm hoping someone with AWD can give me an idea of what kind of mileage I can really expect, especially in city driving. Thanks.

Welcome, again! The highest I have gotten is 34 MPG. I have been averaging 26 lately and I drive pretty hard. If you are a conservative driver you should be able to maintain 28+.

33.6 mpg highway with cruise set at about 74. If you take it up over 80 mph, it'll drop down to high 20's. Still not bad if you think about it. Around town I got 22 mpg, with some hills, and constant use of the A/C. You'll definitely do much better than a Tuscon. (which is a nice vehicle)Imprezza's are getting high 20's with a 5 speed and about 20 in the city. Reason why I say that is because I was talking to some people over at saabnet.com and was thinking about Saab 92X Linear (they were giving aggressive rebates at the time) which is a rebadged Imprezza. Nice car but the tiny, cramped, backseat was a turnoff for me.The Vibe probably boasts the best gas mileage of any AWD vehicle out there right now, especially on the highway. City MPG might be a little low as some people who bought these cars may have been expecting more. I find that when driving in the city, you do have to step on it a bit cause you're asking 123hp to move 3,000 lbls with AWD.
