no tax in alaska. just cost of living is higher. imo, it still comes out way ahead, especially right now since the exchange rate is high.

I think they still are offering the GM Canada/PetroCan gas discount card. It's good for 20cents per litre discount for 2,500 litres or 1 year, whichever comes first. It saves me about $8 per tank these days...If you have no trade-in, find a beater (it has to run) and see if the "Car Heaven" offer is still in effect. If it is, then your trade-in is good for $1,000, which should come right off the top.I would avoid the dealer undercoating and paint protection, aftermarket suppliers are cheaper.psGo for the aluminum wheels (16" or 17") if you can, they look better, less unsprung weight AND they are easier to clean than the steelies when it's washing time!Make a list before you pick it up of all the things that could be an issue or problem, (like the Auto trans shift lock cover), check the other areas here on the site for more info. about problems and missing stuff.

Anyone able to get a price lower than the Employee Pricing ? I'm looking at a base Vibe FWD 5 speed. So far the Sales guy knocked $180 off and said he would throw in a few accessories. Wonder how low I can get him to go.Hope to soon join the club of "owners". Stumbled accross this forum and found lots of useful info to help me make my decision.
