Installed my tien s techs yesterday. took about 2 hours to do it. very easy install. also got tinted a few weeks ago and installed my TRD quickshifter as well as cosmo CAI. I ordered the magnaflow catback, rk sport CF roof rack caps, ES motor mount bushings yesterday and will install as soon as they come in. Future mods to include 17" or 18" wheels, RK sport body kit and wing. maybe hood too. heres some pics of the vibe so far.

Looking good and it'll look awesome once you complete the rest of the mods!

looks good so far! definitely need to get some wheels to complete the look.

yeah, wheels are the biggest problem, they are so expensive.

ha ha! i know.... but so are RK hoods and bodykits. i'd get the wheels before i got the body kit. otherwise, it just looks lame. but that's just mho, so it's your car. you can always go for some ebay cheap wheels or something, even stay w/ the 16's and use the same rubber. i dunno.

yeah, i will probably get 17" wheels, trying to keep the weight down but get a sportier look. i will definitley get those before the bodykit and hood though. Gotta make my girl happy and buy her a ring first, she wants to get married and i do too. you know how that is. theya re always 1st and always right

i never got a ring *grumble grumble* just a picture of one. not really. but yes, that's important. make her feel like she's more important than the car, even though we all know the truth. j/k

Man, the Vibe is a nice looking car without the stinking roof rack! Nice job on the car.

I personally love the look of the stock weehls. Just get some sweet tires and it wont look as bubbly. If they made the stock rims in 18" I would buy a set. Maybe I'm just ind enial because I can't afford rims! (removed)

yeah rims are expensive, tires are worse though. but a rim tire package is the bomb

what are your tint %?
Posted: Thu Aug 11, 2005 9:33 pm
by rlfreese
i have 35% front doors, 20% rear door, 5% side windows and rear window. trying to keep the cops off my back ya know. i had alot of tint tickets with my past car. 20% all around was too dark.

on the vibe i had 50% front (you could barely tell they were tinted) and 35% rear. never was hassled by the cops at all because it was like i didn't have any tint! lolcurrent vehicle is 35% front and 20% rear but that will be changed this weekend to 20% all around. so far no hassles from mr. policeman. hubby has 20% front and 5% rears on his vibe. he also (amazingly) hasn't been hassled about his tint.

i am still looking for a nice shift knob that is inexpensive to fit the trd shifter, i have the stock knob and boot for now though.
