I'm getting the upper and lower bumper clear bra kit. Question.. If I have the 2 tone, is the clear bra for the lower cladding needed? Will it stick to that surface? Or is it normally left uncovered? Thanks.

Im wondering the same thing, since half of my front end is plastic.. i wasnt going to put the clear bra on my grey cladding but on my hood and around the head lights, still wondering if i really need to do the grill section as is plastic.

i wouldn't cover it. it's a lot of time and hard work, so spare yourself the grief! lol. plus, like you already know, it's cladding. if you had a monotone, then i'd say definitely! otherwise, it'd be a waste of your time, and it probably wouldn't stay on very well.

what about the painted plastic round the grill area, is it worth it to get the clear bra on that?

I would. its still painted and bugs and rocks still pepper it. its the paint that chips, weather it be on metal or plastic.

cool, i guess i could reuse the lower cladding on other stuff, like door handle recesses or maybe a strip on the lower part of the back hatch where you use your hand to open and close it

Yes I'd like to see pics of this also as I am planning on getting this done. How much does it roughly cost? I have a two tone.

If it is installed properly, it is VERY DIFFICULT" to even see it upon close inspection...let alone taking a picture of it... some of the clear bra websites have some before and after pictures...check clear bras on google.

Bummer, I went to drop off my car tonight and found one chip under the headlight on the lower bumper. Oh well, gonna have to live with that one. Clear bra goes on in the morning.

Sure, I ordered the deluxe hood mirrors and fenders kit and the front bumper and lower cladding kit, all for $382, but I didnt really need the lower cladding kit (2 tone) so it could probably be had for less. Plus if you order just the standard hood kit it may cost less also. I ordered it from Clearmask.com, although when my installer installed it, the hood piece was a little short on the sides, like half an inch, both sides. (This was the deluxe XL kit). Also about a quarter of an inch too short on the sections right over the headlights. My installer called clearmask and got them to send out a replacement piece. I have to send back the old one. My installer said he would work with me if I had to reinstall the hood piece so hopefully he wont charge me much to reinstall the hood. We'll find out soon enough. So I havent made my mind up yet about Clearmask.com. We'll see how the replacement piece looks. Their prices do seem to be pretty good plus they throw in a free install kit. I just noticed too, although a little late they are giving away a headlight/foglight kit with orders. I'll let you all know. The price for the install was $300

Hello.. I'm also interested in getting clear bra for my 05 moonstone base auto. I contacted a guy from 3mtrim.. he quoted me $230+tax for 18" hood + fender tips - is this a good price?I inquired about group buys and he said 15% discount on 3 or more cars if done on teh same date or if more than 5 cars could be down over the course of a week..btw.. anyone tried doing this themselves? How easy hard is it to do? I know stickercity.com has kits available (not yet for vibe).. but I was interested in the bulk strips they have so I can do the edge of my doors and the moulding (monotone) on the doors..
