Ebay sucks

I ordered my first set of S-Techs from "Karumamotoring" around June 11th only to find out 2 weeks later that they were on backorder. I got my refund for those ones.I ordered the second set from "Shopaholic" on July 3rd before i went up north. Then my computer crashed and 2-3 weeks past and still no springs. I figured something was wrong and I didn't know because I could not check my email. I checked my mail and come to find out the day before he sent me an email saying that his springs were on back order and he finally recieved them. They would be sent out early the next week and recieved within 5-10 buisness days. Two weeks have past and I still have NO SPRINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I wanted to get the springs installed first before I decided on what size wheels to get because of the big drop. What should I do? I sent him an email two days ago asking where they were but no response. I had his phone number saved on my phone from a messag ehe left me but it gets deleted after 30 days and I forgot about it so now I don't have his number anymore! I swear to god I'm going to slaughter the world lol.

Negative feedback is a must... so no one else ends up in this situation (unfortunately you have )

ask for a tracking number

I asked for a tracking number like 69 times. He sent an email to me today after I sent him one. He said it is weird that I have not gotten them yet. He is going to check into the matter.I don't see a problem with this seller. When I talked to him on the phone a while back he was extremely polite and nice so I would hate to leave negative feedback if something maybe got screwed up at UPS or at the border. I'll wait to see what he says. If I have to get a refund AGAIN I will have to asume it is not in my best interest to get lowering springs. Maybe it's a warning. At first hte seller would not accept paypal but due to the first incident, I begged him to take paypal instead since it's another country and he accepted it soo atleast I can rest assured at that. Almost sent him another money order.

ok it has now been nearly a month and 2 weeks and still no springs. I've sent him a million emails int eh last few weeks and the last time he responded was last Saturday when he said "thats weird you havent gotten them yet Ill check in on it and let you know Monday". Still no word a week later. I wanted the springs in by the 20th for the Woodward Dream Cruise but that's obviously NOT going to happen. I figured if I ordered the springs 2 months in advance I might have gotten them in in time to install but hey I gues I was wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The last email I sent him today was firm asking for a refund as well as his phone number. Also giving him my phone number to call me just so we have lal forms of contacts out there in the air. What is the next step? If he does not respond by Saturday I want to contact paypal and get my money back, how do I do this?

To file a claim with PayPal, log into your account and click on "resolution center" under the tabs at the top.

this guy's scamming you or the springs are on a custom's officer's vibe/matrix! lol. dispute it!

Posted: Tue Aug 16, 2005 1:19 pm
by Jahntassa
What was the guy's feedback like before you bought? I tend to research that before I bid.. See if and what the negatives are about...

Well...At first the "Continue" button would not work in the dispute filing. I was about ready to start breaking things.I retried it 7 times and finally it went through. SO I wrote a nice and long explanation of what the problem was in the "other comments" box...I'm seriously so ticked off right now I could slaughter that guy in a heart beat. You all know I've wanted these springs for atleast 2 years and now it's one problem after the next. Maybe it's a sign not to get them? Thanks for all your help though everyone BTW, I'm currently looking at his feedback now. 19 Negative in the last 12 months. i dunno why I did not look at this when I bought them...seems most people have the same problems I do...rediculously long shipping times, wrong items sent, no items sent. Though it seems he has refunded or corrected all the mistakes...personally I want the springs, that's the whole reason I spent the money on them so getting a refund INSTEAD of the springs would be more of an inconveniance than getting the d*mn springs.

(removed)...it already is at the ugly stock height lol. Looks like a rally car, or like an r/c car especially with that antenna up there. The stubby antenna and a strut bar that actually works is my next purchase this week.On a side note, don't buy the Megan Racing strut tower bar from ebay. It may look cool and is cheap but it flexes when I push on it and instead of being molded to fit the contours of the top of the strut tower, the u-brakets BEND around the humps in-acurately. If you want a cheap one that works, get the chrome circular one with the u-brakets that extend out.Gee, all these bad expeiences from ebay make me wonder why I still buy from there? Oh yeah, it's because there are no auto PERFORMANCE stores in Michigan...The Motor City has no automotive performance shops, how funny (removed)!

just buy springs from a reputable vendor. i think someone else even posted the link from the guy he bought his and no hassles or problems.and yes, ALWAYS check feedback from any potential seller. once you've been burned by an ebay scammer, you will be very cautious! (speaking from experience)

you only have 30 days to file a complaint, on ebay. After that they email the faulty party and tell them the case was discharged due to time. But you can still go to there local police department, and file a complaint.

well he paid with pay pal so he still has some recourse to get his money back. also, paul, did you pay with a credit card or with a check card? if so, then you have up to 90 days to dispute that charge with your bank if PayPal doesn't respond.

I sent a money order to the first seller I bought from and his were on back order so he refunded my money to paypal fortunately. Im glad he didn't try to screw me over. I just used the refunded money to buy the new set. The only reason I used a money order is because that's the only way I could get the springs without mother knowing. Now she doesn't care because I've bought so many things for it behind her back she knows she can't stop me.

unrelated, but in line with the ebay sucks theme, here's a guy selling an instrument cluster for a US 04 base, starting bid is only $0.01 !however, shipping cost is a non-negotiable $125.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVWis there a place to report evil sellers to ebay?

(removed). I hate when people do that. I was looking for a pocket bike to buy and it was $0.01 but $200 shipping. Still not bad for a pocket bike but that's pretty deceitful. While shopping for S-Techs some would be $99.99 with $40 shipping or $120.00 with $15 shipping or $140 with free shipping.

i hope all goes well this time around. went over last night to one of phil's friends. he was installing a downpipe and doing the springs on an STI.. man did it look beautiful! so now i'm gonna have to break down and get some springs! lol. he told me that he knows where i can score some eibachs pretty cheaply for $100. he can help me with the install for not too much $$$. then once one of the girls gets rid of her demo LGT, I'll see if I can score her coilovers, chip, downpipe, etc. will be a couple years so by then i should be "allowed" to mod the car to my "budget"

*sighs* I have never been burned on Ebay, until now. A month ago, I did a "Buy it Now" for a Ogio computer bag. Sellers feedback was 99, but he was a huge seller (over 13,000) in feedback, so I didn't look at the negatives too closely. Well, 30 days later, I have no computer bag, no refund, and he filed a Square Deal complaint on for draing to leave him bad feedback......a $44 item, and he is willing to pay what $30 for moderation to try to get me to remove my feedback??? At this point, I will get my refund from Paypal at SOME point.....but if he thinks I'm going to retract honest feedback?? He's a nut...

Seems like I've seen a lot of "feedback mutually retracted" or something like that on sellers. Which I don't think is right. Lets see the facts.

Yeah don't retact the feedback. My dad and step mom run an ebay store/nuisness selling antiques and they get a ton of buisness. They allways package and ship out their items the day the buyer wins the auction so there is NO reason whatsoever to not send out your bag. They even sell over seas and get the items there in less than a week.If you used paypal you will recieve your refund in a few days don't worry about it They last guy from Canada that didnt' send my springs contacted me once and then three weeks later I filed a dispute, got my money and reordered a new set of springs and he still ot this day hasn't sent me an email. Not even for an appology or an explanation or aknowldgement...kinda sad but whatever. I gave him neutral feedback considering the fact that they may have been lost in customs.Something else that's weird is that I bought an brand new "E Nomine" music cd last saturday from Munich, Germany and it was here by Wednesday the same week...how can I get acd from half way across the world faster than something from california?

Got my refund, and Square Trade closed the moderation after I told them there was no way I would remove properly formatted and honest feedback. I told they to tell the guy if he had been honest and told me within 5 days, I might have worked with him, but to lie up to the 30 day mark??? He got negative, and he deserved it.
