i just bought a vibe gt during the employee discount and after doing some research i want the supercharger offered by gm performance, but everywhere i look i see the same thing (not available for GT model) so whats the deal. the gt is fast when wound up but i want more low end torque and horsepower for a true sleeper hot rod. fill me in on what vibe owners already know

Welcome aboard! No chance of having GM the supercharger on the GT though...

welcome to genvibe and awsome you got a GT. Yeah it could have a little more torque on lower end but a Cold Air Intake and a unichip will take care of that for ya.

there really isn't much of a difference b/w the 03-05 models except the air pump thinga magig... (my technical term for it). if you email jack at unichip and ask him, i'm sure he can tell you if it'll work. i wouldn't see why not, but if you can't tell already, i'm not a car tech! lol. will say if you are looking to go cai, exhaust and unichip route, that you see which ones unichip used for it's tuning and get the same. you will have the best results! or have it custom tuned if that's available in your area. the difference b/w stock and cai is big, but then add the chip... it's MUCH greater! smooth and crisp lower end power (not smack your head off power) that really helps the GT's crappy low end. can't wait til i (am allowed) to get a chip for the new car! everyone online tells me how much better it is, smoother shifting, better low end power (turbo lag)! mmmm..... stage 1

i talked to tha dealer myself about the gm supercharger and he said that they could make it for the gt 05 because thats what i have you just have to order it from them differently thats allthe gt is basically the base with the horsepower a supercharger would make it to like 180 or so but if u just get an intake u will see it makes alot of difference i just got my intake put in 3 days ago and i can already tell the difference besides gm wants to charge u like 3gs for it u can buy 3gs worth of stuff for the vibe and make it better anyways like a body kit and intake and chips and stuff i wouldnt waste my money on the one from gm anyways oh buy the way if u buy the body kit from street grafitti all genvibe members get 10 % discount witch is cool
