New vibe owner, 2004 pumpkin (orange)!

This week I will be driving 700 miles round trip to pick up my new vibe:$13,525 for a 2004 with 12,000 miles! I feel like I got a very good deal. I'm trading in my 2003 pt cruiser gt as partial payment - which got deplorable gas mileage and wanted something that looked similar and got better mileage. One thing I did love about my pt cruiser was the gps/satellite radio all-in-one unit:http://img.photobucket.com/alb...1.jpgh ... .4.jpgJust by pushing a button I could switch from the GPS view to the satellite radio view to see the artist, song, etc. I know there is a GPS unit available for the vibe, but I don't think it has this option to see the artist/song on the display - or am I wrong? If I can do that, does anybody know where I can get one of those GPS units? They seem hard to find. I've also seen the car mp3 units with computer displays, but that might be more than I'm willing to do right now.thanks!

Welcome aboard! Nice choice on the channel too, Chill gets quite a bit of play around home and in the car. Unfortunately, the nav system in the Vibe doesn't have satellite radio capability.

Cool color! I have the XM Roady in my car. I attatched it with velcro in front of the shifter on top of the button for the plug-in. Anyway, welcome to GenVibe. Great site, good people and lots of info.

Thanks Kiribeth for the help with the problem. It would only let me do 8 lines and I was trying to do more than 8 lines

It had sat on the lot brand new for several months, so they were trying to get rid of it.Quote »Just by pushing a button I could switch from the GPS view to the satellite radio view to see the artist, song, etc. I know there is a GPS unit available for the vibe, but I don't think it has this option to see the artist/song on the display - or am I wrong? Our came with the navigation unit, and the radio DOES display the name of the song and artist provided the radio station provides it. This is for public radio though - not for satellite radio (such as XM). If I remember my research correctly, XM comes with the Moon & Tunes package, which is not available with the navigation unit.

thanks for the warm welcomes! I just got back from the 800 mile, 16 hour round trip with my vibe - love it! I scored exactly 30MPG on the way home, all highway averaging 75mph, with the AC on the entire way. I couldn't be happier with the mileage performance. I have a question about my stereo system though. It is the moons and tunes package. Is my stereo head unit XM-ready? Meaning I can get a tuner and an antenna and be set?
